She who wears the crown

Poetry 1 Minute

Smile easily,

Follow the intricately laid plan.

No deviations, no tears.

Hold it together.

Picture perfect Instagram story.

Choose words wisely,

The crown must not tip,

Your smile must stay sincere.

Not one line or hair out of place.

Do as expected,

You are not allowed

Feelings, choices, thought.

Unappreciated, rhythmic routine to stay sane.

Used, let the feelings stay in your heart-

Never let them show.

Heart shatters inside.

Mind, body and spirit screaming,

Heart aching for a happier time.

Not time yet.

Must maintain.

Must maintain.

Writing has been a passion of mine since I was a young teenager. It started with just writing about my experiences with nature, and how beautiful the world around me was at that age to writing about heartache and love as I grew older. My experiences both good and bad have shaped me into who I am today and I thought to myself, what if the pain I went through could help someone else get through the same experiences in a way they might not be used to? I stopped writing for many years and felt lost without it, a good friend has inspired me to continue writing and I will take this advice gladly. Onward towards great things.. Enjoy with a cup of hot tea..or coffee if thats What makes you smile.
